A TRIBUTE TO LAURA HOOD

By Marc Allenby CEO Trafalgar Releasing

It’s with great sadness that we report the death of a much-loved colleague at Trafalgar Releasing, Laura Hood.

Laura had a scheduled operation on Friday to remove a growth on her brain. Sadly, there were complications, and she passed away on Saturday morning. We’re all deeply shocked by this terrible news.

A valued member of the team, Laura had been with the company for the best part of seven years and she will be very sorely missed.

Known for her brightly coloured hair and strength of opinion, Laura was a force to be reckoned with.

Laura had broad cultural tastes. She was a huge fan of David Tennant and took her mum along to see the filming of Macbeth at the Donmar in January.

She was also particularly excited to be working on our release of Machine Gun Kelly. Never shy with an opinion, her views on Taylor Swift were widely shared throughout the record-breaking release and beyond!

Laura was never daunted by a new challenge, professional or personal. She proactively offered support to multiple departments and bravely continued to work right up to her operation despite the severity of her condition.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Laura’s family and friends at this very sad and challenging time.
