STAGECOACH SUMMER SHOWCASE
Stagecoach celebrated 32 years of Summer Showcases with a performance of Grease 2023 performed by 81 students from Stagecoach Schools around the country and the world!
This year, Stagecoach had a record number of students taking up the residential provision and it was noted that this helped to bring together the cast who were caring and positive to each other, with the older students mentoring the younger ones, which was lovely to see! The team were delighted to welcome overseas students from Malta, Germany and Australia.
Auditions had taken place in February and as the cast assembled for the first day of rehearsals, excitement was very much in the air.

The cast worked solidly for two weeks in rehearsals learning amazing routines from Choreographer Daniel Todd and assistant Brooke Ramsay. Director Gary Jerry brought his wealth of experience from previous showcases to guide, teach and ultimately bring out the best in all the students. Stagecoach were also privileged to have Greg Arrowsmith as Musical Director, as his recent credits include Sheherazade with BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The Rocky Horror Show (worldwide tour and two live stream broadcasts) and many other West End credits.
The culmination of all this hard work produced three amazing performances at The Beck Theatre, Hayes, where Stagecoach welcomed parents, Principals and colleagues to watch the very talented cast.
As always, none of this would have been possible without the backstage crew, CPO Zachary Morgan and the wonderful chaperones whose mantra of eat, sleep, repeat helped students feel calm, focussed and enjoy the experience of being away from home.
Finally, this was Fleur Manuel’s first Summer Showcase as Production Manager and her many years of Production Associate made this transition seamless!
