Welcome to the February edition of Ensemble. I hope you’re all keeping well.

There are so many exciting projects happening as we’re heading into Spring. Productions have opened including the wonderful The King & I starring Helen George which is continuing to wow audiences across the country and playing to record sales. Rory Bremner has been announced in Quiz, a perfect match to play the role of Chris Tarrant in this Jonathan Church Theatre Production. Also, Trafalgar Releasing grossed the most for any live cinema event with the BTS event. 

There’s a fantastic piece about Beck Community Choir who went from four members in lockdown to over fifty and now performing shows on stage. We’re really proud of the community roots of our theatres and wish them the best of luck for future performances. It was also lovely to hear about how talented our staff are with the awards they have won – we have a Queen Scouts Award winner, Marketer of the Year and BFR Club Championship winner. Such fantastic achievements, well done.

There’s an interesting update with the progress of our Learning Management System including some training that we’d like you to undertake so that we can all upskill ourselves, plus read all about a brilliant news update from the Chiswick Cinema on their latest Mamma Mia! event, and a Karel Reisz film season coming soon.

Finally, none of us can escape the devastating news of earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. The Disaster Emergency Committee has set up an appeal, a number of venues are already supporting and of course, if any of you would like some more information or to support this appeal, click here.
